Preparing Cast Iron Products for Shipment

01 Define the Packing Scope
Packing requirements should be discussed alongside the product specification. A shipment may contain different cover sizes, separate frames or complete assemblies, and those differences affect identification and handling. List the quantity of each item and explain whether matching components should remain together.
Tell the supplier about the delivery destination, planned transport and receiving arrangements. A packing approach that suits one route or handling method may need adjustment for another. Confirm the agreed scope in the order documentation.
02 Discuss Protection and Handling
Consider the contact points between castings, the stability of stacks and the protection required for finished surfaces or projecting features. Discuss pallets, separators, wrapping and restraints in relation to the actual products. Photographs of packing examples can support the conversation but do not replace a shipment-specific plan.

The responsible logistics provider should confirm handling limits and securing requirements. If wooden packaging is proposed, ask the shipping parties to verify the applicable destination requirements before dispatch.
03 Make the Shipment Traceable
Agree how product references and quantities will be identified on the packages and packing list. For multiple sizes, a clear package reference helps the receiving team check the shipment without relying on appearance alone. Keep drawing revisions and order references consistent across the documents.
- Product references and quantities by package
- Matching cover and frame identification
- Agreed protection and pallet arrangements
- Handling information and receiving constraints
- Required packing list and shipping documents
04 Prepare for Arrival
Share the expected package information with the receiving team and confirm who will check the delivered goods. Record visible package condition and reconcile the quantities against the agreed documents. Refer questions or discrepancies to the parties responsible for the order and shipment.
For your next inquiry, include the destination and any packing requirements with the 製品 you are requesting. Our team can then discuss these details as part of the quotation scope.
